CATC Shivamogga Experience - Jayashree K

Jai hind,

I want to share my experience on the first NCC camp

It was a very good and amazing experience. I got the chance unexpectedly. A day before, a senior cadet called us and said there is a camp tomorrow. It was a sudden surprise for all of us. Later the seniors helped us in preparation for the camp.

Our camp was held at Shankaragatta near Shivamoga on 25/11/2021.But due to some inconvenience we went on 26/11/2021. Before entering the camp we were divided into 4 teams like Alpha, Bravo, Delta, Charlie and Eco. I was in the team Eco. There were  4  SW cadets in the Eco company from Nehru Memorial College. I was really happy that we 4 could stay in the same room.

The First day I felt lonely but on the next day I met my team and all became friends.  I am thankful to our seniors because  they taught us about necessary arrangements for the camp. As most of us were sergeants, we didn't know how to wear uniforms. We were all helped by the kind hearted seniors. We had a great experience of morning PT, practising drills, firing, and moreover all the Saabs were more supportive. They instructed us in a good way. Moreover I have learnt the value of food, water and basically  timesense and Unity and Discipline.

Every  evening we had cultural programs and games competitions. We enjoyed it a lot. The food which was served was good and tasty. We had met cadets from different places. Every day, every time it was precious to us, really the camp taught us for life.
