CATC Shivamogga Experience - Anushree K

I would like to share the beautiful experience which in my 1st camp.

Our journey started on 26th November 2021. Our camp held on 25-11-2021 at shankaragatta near shivamogga. First day, due  vacancy for only 10 members went on camp. But due to the some extra vacancy we started our journey. We were all excited and eagerly waiting to attend the camp. We started our journey at 5:30 AM and we reached shivamogga at 4:30 PM. We noticed that there were about 380 cadets from all over the battalion who were participating in this 10 day's camp. Our registration was done at 8:00 PM. And most of cadets in our college were in Alpha team. I'm also in Alpha company. After the registration we went to our room. In our room we were totally 6 members, 4 members from 20 Karnataka battalion. Different company have different blocks. Alpha team stayed in The B block. In first day of our camp we had firing so Alpha team no PT on that morning. Firing was an wonderful experience to me. We celebrate NCC day in our camp atmosphere because it was so cool whether and in our block there were no sufficient water supply.

In the NCC camp all the cadet had to wake up on 5 AM everyday. And ready for the morning PT. We take breakfast and wear uniform within 15 minutes. After the breakfast we had to dressup and assemble at ground by 8 am for the parade. This was a routine for the next 10 days which made us fit and active.

We had eat dinner and after the dinner we had to go sleep, we were strictly instructed not to go out of our block in the night.

In the camp we learned about drill, map reading, first aid, etc. In our camp were conducted cultural and sports activities. I loved the camp life. I will miss it and the camp friends, this camp taught me discipline to accept people the way they are infused courage and strength. I say that NCC is one of the best opportunity by in students Life to inculcate good leadership qualities and it gives a good platform to all.

Jai Hind…
