"ಗಾಂಧಿ ನಡಿಗೆ" - 152ನೇ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಜಯಂತಿ

 

ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 2 ಶನಿವಾರದಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪಿತ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರ 152ನೇ ಜಯಂತಿ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಸುಳ್ಯದ ನೆಹರು ಮೆಮೋರಿಯಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುರುಂಜಿಬಾಗ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಡಾ ಕುರುಂಜಿ ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಗೌಡರ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ  "ಗಾಂಧಿ ನಡಿಗೆ" ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಜರಗಿತು.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಎನ್.ಸಿ.ಸಿ ಘಟಕದ ಕೆಡೆಟ್‌ಗಳು, ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್, ಯೂತ್ ರೆಡ್‌ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ರೋವರ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ರೇಂಜರ್ಸ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಆಫ್ ಲಿಬರಲ್ ಎಜುಕೇಶನ್ (ರಿ.) ಸುಳ್ಯ ಇದರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ. ಕೆ. ವಿ. ಚಿದಾನಂದ ಅವರು ಹಸಿರು ನಿಶಾನೆ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. 

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರುದ್ರಕುಮಾರ್ ಎಂ.ಎಂ ಅವರು ಶುಭಹಾರೈಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಕುರುಂಜಿ ವೃತ್ತದಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಚೆನ್ನಕೇಶವ ವೃತ್ತ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗಿ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವ ಡಾ ಕುರುಂಜಿ ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಗೌಡರ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಗಾಂಧಿ ನಡಿಗೆ ಕೊನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಎಮ್ ಬಾಲಚಂದ್ರ ಗೌಡ ಅವರು ಗಾಂಧಿ ತತ್ವಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಟ್ ಎನ್.ಸಿ.ಸಿ ಆಫೀಸರ್ ಲೆಫ್ಟಿನೆಂಟ್ ಸೀತಾರಾಮ ಎಂ.ಡಿ, ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಸಂಜೀವ ಕುದ್ಪಾಜೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಚಿತ್ರಲೇಖ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್, ರೆಡ್‌ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಅನುರಾಧ ಕುರುಂಜಿ, ರೋವರ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ರೇಂಜರ್ಸ್ ದಳದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರುಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ತಿಪ್ಪೇಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಡಿ.ಎಚ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹರ್ಷಕಿರಣ ಬಿ.ಆರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕ ವೃಂದದವರ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಡಾ.‌ ಅನುರಾಧ ಕುರುಂಜಿ ಇವರು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಎನ್.ಸಿ.ಸಿ‌ ಕೇಡೆಟ್ಸ್ ಕುರುಂಜಿ ವೃತ್ತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುರುಂಜಿ ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಗೌಡರ ಪುತ್ಥಳಿಯನ್ನು ಶುಚಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ತತ್ವಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಶುಚಿತ್ವದ ಮಹತ್ವ ಸಾರಿದರು.

"Gandhi Nadige" event was held on 2nd October, 2021 at the Kurunji Circle Kurunjibag, Sullia, as part of the celebration of 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Dr. K V Chidananda, president, Academy of Liberal Education ® Sullia, flagged off the event under the auspices presence of the college's NCC cadets, NSS, Youth Red Cross and Rover & Rangers students. 

Prof. Rudrakumar M.M, Principal of the college addressed the gathering. The Gandhi Nadige started from the Dr Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda statue of Kurunjibag, passing through the Chennakeshava circle ended at the front of K.V.G. statue at private bus stand Sullia. Prof. M Balachandra Gowda, Academic advisor, NMC Sullia addressed the gathering. The event was held in collaboration of Associate NCC Officer Lt. Seetharama M.D, NSS Program Officers Mr. Sanjeeva Kudpaje and Mrs. Chitralekha K.S, Red Cross Coordinator Dr. Anuradha K.P, Heads of Rovers & Rangers Mr. Thippeswamy D.H and Mrs. Harshakirana B.R and lecturers from various departments of the college. NCC cadets cleaned statue of Dr Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda at Kurunji Circle, to spread the importance of cleaning as part of achieving clean India dream of Mahatma Gandhi.
