Jai hind to everyone...
In this article I would like to share the beautiful experience of my NCC camp (PRE IGC/CATC 1,2,3). Our camp is designed with the theme of unity and diversity.
The journey started on 16th Oct 2021 at Alva's college Moodbidri. I Was quite nervous and curious about how the camp would go. Our day started with a roll call in the morning followed by P.T. Then lectures were given by military officers on drill, leadership qualities etc. Since we were in NCC uniform as we walked through the streets, the local people looked at us curiously. It felt like we were kind of celebrities.

In the camp all the cadets had to wake up at 5am everyday, exercise for one hour and then breakfast. After that we participate in some drill related activities, eat lunch at 1pm. Thereafter again we Practice drill. And then there was a tea break at 4pm. Then we participated in a cultural program around 6pm to 7pm, we had to eat dinner at 7.30pm and after the dinner we had to go to sleep,we were strictly instructed not to go out of our camp at night. The RDC selection process was done every 10 days. Camp for a month was so wonderful, I got so many new Friends.. It was my first camp experience in NCC and it was very exciting and fun-filled.
To be an NCC cadet is like being unique, hardworking, dedicated, punctual, and most of us are all achievers. I was happy that camp went successfully at the same time sad because we lived together like a family all those days and we would part soon. We took many selfies , photos...On 14th November 2021, It was the moment to say goodbye! I loved the camp life and I will miss it and the people.
This camp taught me discipline,to accept people the way they are, infused courage and strength, and motivated me to do something for my motherland and respect her. And ultimately it made me a better person.

As I return I take a very big suitcase of memories, lessons, new friends and the challenge to develop myself.
